Overview
Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort is looking to hire a Night Porter to join its Front Office team for overnight shifts at its Ballymoney location in County Wexford, Ireland. This role focuses on delivering excellent service to guests during night hours, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well-assisted overnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide polite, efficient, and professional service to guests during the night.
- Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and distributing room keys as needed.
- Address guest requests, queries, and feedback promptly and effectively.
- Communicate guest messages and perform wake-up calls as requested.
- Perform night audit duties, ensuring cash handling and safe processes are accurate and secure.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections to keep exits clear and maintain adherence to safety standards.
- Enforce health and safety procedures and follow emergency protocols consistently.
- Document any incidents or accidents and report maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
- Keep all public hotel areas clean, secure, and presentable throughout the shift.
- Provide detailed and clear handover reports to the morning team at shift end.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working in a similar role within a 3- or 4-star hotel environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with HotSoft or equivalent hotel management software is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask efficiently, work independently, and stay composed under pressure.
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work overnight shifts.
- Proficient spoken and written English abilities.
