New Business Engineer

Position Overview

ConsultANZ is seeking a New Business Engineer to join the Precontracts team at a leading civil construction contractor based in Wellington, New Zealand. This role offers a chance to contribute to major infrastructure projects and support securing future contracts nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Precontracts team in preparing bids and tender documentation.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical details.
• Contribute to project planning, methodologies, and construction approaches.
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and clients during tender phases.
• Evaluate project risks and opportunities, providing technical insights.
• Support the creation of competitive and innovative civil infrastructure proposals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least four years of experience in heavy civil construction projects.
• Strong technical and problem-solving engineering capabilities.
• Experience in precontracts, project engineering or tendering is advantageous.
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an office-based team.
