Role Overview

This role is based in Newport, Titchfield (Fareham), or Darlington and follows a flexible hybrid work model across the UK. Employees are linked to a contractual office location and balance working remotely and onsite with a minimum of 40% office attendance.

Compensation and Work Schedule

The salary for this position is £43,644 per annum. Flexible working arrangements such as full-time, part-time, flexible working, and job share options are offered to accommodate various lifestyle needs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must have been continuously resident in the UK for the three years directly prior to applying to meet SC clearance requirements.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge covering wide-ranging methodological topics relevant to official statistics production and development, alongside deeper expertise in select areas.
  • Proven track record of effectively applying skills to multiple projects, demonstrating an investigative and innovative approach to resolving methodological challenges.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising analysts, including quality assurance of their output to lead teams successfully.
  • Capability in managing and delivering several projects simultaneously.
  • Experience providing statistical consultancy and working collaboratively with clients to identify and fulfill their requirements.
  • Demonstrated computer programming proficiency, independently writing code for statistical and methodological analyses using software such as R, SAS, or Python.
