Role Summary

This full-time Mechanical Engineer position is based on-site in Doha, Qatar. The role centers on keeping the plant’s machinery and equipment designed, optimized, and maintained for PVC pipe production. The engineer will work closely with production and operations teams to improve performance, resolve equipment issues, and ensure safe, reliable manufacturing.

Key Duties

• Create and refine mechanical designs for manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and update technical drawings and related engineering documentation.
• Work with production teams to support smooth day-to-day plant operations.
• Monitor machine performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and equipment-related problems.
• Help improve production methods, efficiency, and process reliability.
• Coordinate with quality and operations personnel to meet output and compliance goals.
• Take part in technical planning, project coordination, and plant improvement work.
• Support documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Profile

• Solid grounding in mechanical engineering principles applied to a manufacturing setting.
• Capability in machine design and selecting equipment for production systems.
• Practical experience using CAD software to create and revise drawings and models.
• Exposure to project planning, scheduling, and coordination across engineering tasks.
• R&D experience to support product or process enhancement in PVC pipe or similar manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an allied field.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials, and quality expectations tied to plastics or pipe products.
• Comfort working in a plant environment with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Experience in piping, plastics, or industrial manufacturing in the Gulf region will be considered an advantage.
