Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the meat department's cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning to ensure readiness for customers at all times, rotating stock and removing expired or unsuitable items regularly.
• Accurately price and properly label all merchandise according to established protocols for ordering, signage, price adjustments, and clearance.
• Comply with food safety and cold chain standards including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, safe food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken by safely operating equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers to fulfill customer requests and maintain display cases.
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures to sustain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment.
• Show flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations and ensure a consistent, high level of customer service.

Challenges

• Manage high volumes of tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, while maintaining energy and focus throughout the work period.
• Carry out physically demanding activities such as standing for long durations, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, along with repetitive stocking and organizing with attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $17.95 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
