Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Material Requirements Planning by translating approved production schedules into material demands through running and maintaining the MRP process within SAP. Guarantee prompt and precise generation of purchase requisitions and production orders based on bills of materials and planning criteria.
  • Oversee material availability to ensure all parts, components, and subassemblies are prepared for production as planned. Identify shortages proactively, coordinate with procurement and suppliers, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid production interruptions.
  • Manage exceptions by detecting material shortages, delivery delays, and unforeseen demand fluctuations. Lead daily reviews of exceptions, recommend corrective measures, and collaborate closely with procurement and production teams for swift resolution.
  • Maintain and evaluate inventory health by monitoring stock coverage, shelf-life concerns, and risks of obsolescence. Keep track of materials in transit, those under inspection, or on hold. Suggest inventory adjustments that balance service level expectations and working capital efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination among production, procurement, and warehouse departments ensuring timely availability of critical components. Provide transparent reporting on critical items, backlogs, and urgent expediting to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance by documenting all material movement activities, planning changes, and exception handling in line with EDGE Group standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain updated records for audits and KPI monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 to 4 years professional experience in material planning, procurement, or production control within manufacturing or engineering sectors.
  • Proven hands-on experience executing MRP processes using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of bills of material, lead-time management, and supplier coordination techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related technical/business disciplines.
  • Preferred certifications include APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent credentials.
