Role Overview

This leadership opportunity is for the founding Managing Director based in Cochin, Kerala, who will have responsibilities across the state. This position involves joining the Board of Directors and includes potential equity partnership. The Director will guide Carenexs through its MVP trial phase and lead expansion efforts across Kerala, transforming the venture into a scalable and sustainable enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Steer the organization’s strategic, cultural, and operational direction with Board collaboration.
• Build and nurture a high-performing team and represent Carenexs publicly to clients, partners, and the community.
• Drive sustainable business growth by planning and executing strategies during trial, district rollout, and state-wide expansion with ownership of revenue, budgeting, and commercial viability.
• Forge alliances with hospitals, care providers, rehabilitation services, pharmacies, corporates, community groups, Kudumbashree networks, and government agencies.
• Manage operations and service delivery, ensuring quality standards and continuous improvement from user feedback throughout trials and expansion phases.
• Shape Carenexs' public identity and contribute thought leadership in elderly care and healthy aging within Kerala.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a university degree in Management, Health Management, Public Health, Social Work, or related fields; postgraduate education advantageous.
• Demonstrates proven senior leadership or entrepreneurial experience in healthcare, social enterprise, elderly care, or community services.
• Has a track record of cross-sector partnership development involving healthcare, government, community, and commercial organizations.
• Understands Kerala's social, cultural, and healthcare landscape, especially family care and elderly wellbeing.
• Displays financial acumen including budgeting, business planning, and resource management.
• Exhibits personal alignment with Carenexs’ mission; able to build strong relationships and balance strategic thinking with hands-on work.
• Fluent in Malayalam and proficient in English.
• Preferably connected with hospitals, care providers, community leaders, or government officials in Ernakulam, Kottayam, or throughout Kerala.
