Role Summary
Lead the execution of Transnet Rail Infrastructure Management's (TRIM) comprehensive communications strategy for the Corridors, ensuring effective two-way communication between management, employees, and external audiences to enhance TRIM's public image.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate, secure approval for, and implement a communications plan for the Corridors, aligned with TRIM's strategic goals and international standards.
- Engage regularly with media and stakeholders to build and sustain strong external relationships.
- Represent TRIM in strategic railway and business forums to promote the organization and influence stakeholders.
- Oversee standards and service delivery monitoring with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and manage both internal and external safety communications plans.
- Successfully implement all authorized internal communication programs and ensure their effective management.
- Drive the rollout of comprehensive communications initiatives across the corridors.
- Deliver frequent, consistent communications to all employees via various platforms.
- Prepare media releases and statements; respond to media inquiries about the corridors.
- Design and execute an internal communications strategy and programming ensuring routine messaging to employees.
- Coordinate with external vendors supporting communications to meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations in accordance with service agreements.
- Assist in the development and execution of campaigns promoting the organization and its offerings to both internal and external groups.
- Arrange logistics and preparations for events involving employees and media stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism.
- Minimum of five years' progressive experience in a communications role.

- In-depth knowledge of internal communications and media processes.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
- Understanding of transportation and logistics sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Proficient networking and relationship-building abilities.

- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and information dissemination skills.
- Effective planning, organizational, and media management experience.
