Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our Regional Operations team located in Whitby. This full-time, permanent position involves managing the daily upkeep and repairs of a variety of holiday homes, ensuring each property is secure, well-maintained, and ready for guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks across a portfolio of holiday homes.
  • Address basic plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, taps, and toilets.
  • Conduct simple electrical tasks within your scope, including replacing fittings and troubleshooting faults.
  • Carry out painting and decorating duties including surface preparation, filling, sanding, and painting walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
  • Execute small building repairs and general multi-trade maintenance.
  • Complete minor joinery fixes, including repairing doors, hinges, and frames.
  • Collaborate with third-party maintenance providers for specialized tasks.
  • Ensure all completed work meets health and safety protocols and company quality standards.
  • Identify maintenance issues and escalate tasks beyond your expertise when necessary.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced in general property maintenance or multi-skilled trades.
  • Practical knowledge of basic plumbing, basic electrical work, and painting/decorating.
  • Strong grasp of property upkeep and repairs.
  • Proactive and adaptable with a practical problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to prioritize duties and operate independently across various days.
  • Possession of a full, clean driving license is mandatory.
  • Background in property maintenance or property management roles preferred.
