Role Overview
As a Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that all grounds and equipment across several locations remain in good, safe working order. This role focuses on creating a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for the residents and staff we serve.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage preventive maintenance activities across multiple sites within an assigned region.
- Organize and prioritize tasks using available tools and coordinate effectively with external contractors to guarantee quality workmanship.
- Enforce departmental guidelines for maintenance and building operation while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform repairs and upkeep on kitchen, housekeeping, mechanical systems including HVAC, electrical and plumbing fixtures, painting, and laundry machinery.
- Interpret blueprints to plan building-related projects and implement computer networking infrastructure wiring.
- Monitor and repair any damages to building surfaces as needed.
- Supervise inventory control regarding equipment, parts, and supplies; manage vendor accounts and order necessary materials for maintenance.
- Maintain motors, exhaust fans, pumps, and various equipment on a monthly or manufacturer-recommended schedule.
- Liaise with building inspectors, fire marshals, and vendors to uphold fire safety systems including alarms and detectors; participate in safety and disaster preparedness planning.
- Keep detailed operational records, supervise safety compliance, and undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Minimum of one year of relevant maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining diverse maintenance tools and electrical machinery.
- Valid contractor license if mandated by state regulations.
