About the Role

Orcapod Consulting Services seeks a skilled Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant for a contract role based in Gurugram with a hybrid work model. This position demands extensive experience in z/OS and IBM Z mainframe environments, focusing on application development, system programming, and software change management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute migration from Non-IBM or ISV DevOps/SCM tools, especially CA Endevor, to IBM DBB, Git, IDz, and IBM DevOps Deploy/IDD.
Analyze, convert, validate, and troubleshoot migration-related application build and change management workflows.
Provide expert support for migration challenges, leveraging strong problem-solving capabilities.
Utilize expertise in TSO/ISPF, JCL, USS, and REXX in migration and development tasks.

Required Skills and Experience

7 to 8 years of professional experience in z/OS or IBM Z mainframe with roles spanning application development, system programming, or software change management.
Proven hands-on experience in migrating SCM and DevOps tools from CA Endevor to IBM platforms.
Proficient knowledge of Git, repository management, branching strategies, YAML, Groovy scripting, and debugging pipelines/builds.
Strong troubleshooting aptitude to assist clients during migration processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in IBM Z applications development.
Familiarity with migrations like Easytrieve-to-COBOL conversions and IBM Migration Utility usage.
Experience contributing to mainframe modernization and enterprise-wide DevOps transformations.

Annual compensation range from 1,500,000 INR to 1,700,000 INR.
