Logistics Specialist

About the Role

Halliburton is hiring a Logistics Specialist to support the flow of domestic and international shipments for a major global energy services business. The position sits within Supply Chain Management and is focused on ensuring cargo moves accurately, safely, compliantly, and on schedule.

This role is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and is an entry-level, full-time onsite opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the movement of domestic and international cargo under direct supervision while following applicable local and international regulations.
• Work with one or more transport modes such as ocean, air, or land, and account for movement constraints, including hazardous cargo requirements where relevant.
• Prepare shipping instructions, coordinate with logistics service providers, and manage shipments from origin to destination efficiently.
• Keep customers informed about shipment progress and related updates.
• Maintain complete shipping files and records in line with company and shipping requirements.
• Collect and review service-provider data to assess performance and support short-term business planning.
• Use logistics and ERP systems, including SAP, to ensure movement transactions are completed accurately and on time.
• Track and record logistics data to identify trends and suggest improvements that benefit cost, efficiency, and operations.
• Handle packing, marking, labeling, and measurement of cargo to ensure correct weight and dimension records.
• Support Finance and Accounting by validating rates and charges on invoices.

Requirements

• A two-year degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• At least 1 to 2 years of logistics experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of logistics systems and SAP is required for the role.
• Understanding of shipment planning, transport modes, cargo handling, and compliance considerations.
• IATA and/or IMDG certification may be needed depending on the scope of work.
