Role Overview
The Lead Creative, Design at Ro is akin to a Senior Art Director position, focused on hands-on creative leadership driven by exceptional design craftsmanship without any people management duties. This role requires a strong visual and conceptual voice to collaborate within cross-functional teams, helping to shape and realize bold creative ideas that maintain brand consistency and elevate the overall quality of output.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute design concepts for campaigns across diverse media including digital, social, TV, OOH, and CRM.
- Collaborate closely with writers and creatives to build visually impactful ideas from inception.
- Direct art elements such as typography, imagery, and layouts to establish compelling visual narratives.
- Ensure all deliverables reflect a high standard of polish and creative quality.
- Integrate AI tools to enhance creative processes, boosting innovation and efficiency.
- Drive ongoing evolution and refinement of Ro’s visual identity and brand expression.
- Proactively manage creative projects by identifying opportunities and pushing initiatives forward independently.
- Provide constructive design feedback to team members and external collaborators.
- Stay informed on industry trends and design innovations to keep work fresh and relevant.
- Coordinate with agencies and production teams as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in design, art direction, or brand creative roles.
- Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Demonstrated experience using AI technology to amplify design and creative production.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual strength and refined craft across multiple channels.
- Expertise in core design principles including typography, layout, color theory, and composition.
- Experience with both campaign creative and performance marketing materials.
- Advanced art direction skills involving photography, video, and motion graphics; motion or 3D skills are advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards while managing multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities, able to work independently and within teams.
- Passion for Ro’s mission and a proactive, hands-on approach to design creation.
