Kitchen Helper

Role Overview

The Kitchen Helper position involves assisting in various kitchen duties including the preparation of sandwiches, rolls, and soup, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen and pantry areas, and managing vegetables' preparation and storage. This role demands physical activity, spending significant time standing and moving about. Volunteers will be part of a friendly and enjoyable team environment.

Additional Opportunities

There is potential to resume Saturday shifts, and the organization welcomes expressions of interest to ensure adequate staffing on that day.

Candidate Requirements

• Physically fit and able to handle kitchen duties requiring standing and activity.
• Flexible work availability.
• Adherence to good hygiene practices.
• Previous hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A mature mindset, openness, and a good sense of humor for team cohesion.

Time Commitment

Volunteers can choose their schedule but are encouraged to commit regularly to one or more shifts. Available shifts include 8 AM to 11 AM or 11 AM to 2 PM from Monday to Friday, as well as a Wednesday evening dinner service shift.
