Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Studio Photographer to contribute to our studio's photography efforts, focusing on producing top-tier product and campaign visuals for marketing, web, and sales support. This position involves working hands-on in our in-house photo studio, styling and photographing products, and fulfilling technical roles such as grip, electric, and digital technician duties. Collaboration with content production, creative, and product teams under senior photographer supervision is key to maintaining consistent YETI imagery standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce product images for ecommerce and in-studio needs in alignment with specified shot lists and styling guidelines.
• Style and photograph products within the in-house studio in coordination with the photo studio team.
• Collaborate with the senior photographer to ensure consistency with current YETI studio photography style.
• Provide raw image files to the retouching team, ensuring alignment with their technical requirements.
• Coordinate with the photo studio team regarding shooting schedules and retouch timings, demonstrating flexibility towards shifting priorities.
• Adhere to product style guidelines to uphold visual consistency, including accurate file naming conventions.
• Participate in physical tasks such as set teardown and product handling.
• Effectively manage deadlines and prioritize shoots accordingly.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional studio photography experience.
• Proven experience photographing consumer products.
• Proficient with Photoshop, CaptureOne, and knowledgeable about image resolution, color spaces, and file formats.
• Deep understanding of studio lighting, reflections, material textures, and their impact on color reproduction.
• Strong visual acuity, meticulous attention to detail, and an eye for consistent color and composition.
• Ability to work independently within established processes and general guidance.
• Openness to constructive feedback and design direction.
• Agency or in-house creative team experience is advantageous.
• Highly organized with a strong commitment to file naming and storage best practices.
• Positive and collaborative attitude towards work and team dynamics.
