Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Desktop Support Officer to join our Brisbane team on a part-time contractual basis (3 days per week) for 3 months, with a possibility of extension. This onsite position entails providing high-quality technical support to our customers, handling diverse technology such as both macOS and Windows PCs, tablets, server systems, network infrastructure, and voice communication platforms. While server and network elements are mainly managed by specialists, you will handle frontline technology support.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure seamless day-to-day technical operations for customers' activities.
- Develop positive relationships with end-users to foster a friendly rapport.
- Work collaboratively to identify and enhance inefficient or outdated processes.
- Proactively seek customer feedback to improve service delivery consistently.
- Detect and address issues or requests lacking established procedures by designing and implementing new solutions with peers.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and technical procedures.
- Take ownership of daily technical issues including liaising with external third-party organizations.
- Coordinate with colleagues across various departments to achieve optimal customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- A passion for outstanding customer service, demonstrated through skillfully resolving technical problems involving computers and other devices.
- A strong interest in technology and eagerness to master new technologies and concepts to confidently engage with staff and external suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills to diagnose issues calmly and clearly explain problems and preventive measures.
- A positive, can-do attitude supported by previous effective technical support experiences.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities to interact with a diverse array of stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to unusual circumstances such as extended hours or altered work schedules when necessary.
