Role Overview
We are seeking two innovative Software Developers at either the Intermediate or Senior level to join our team at the College Avenue location in Regina, Saskatchewan. One position is a permanent role while the other is temporary for up to 15 months. In this capacity, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that enhance business efficiency and stimulate innovation. Your contributions will help maintain the organization's competitive edge, improve workflows, and deliver high-quality services to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and thoroughly document software systems and architectures to maximize business value and facilitate reporting.
- Take part in system design and governance review meetings.
- Manage a portfolio of applications and services that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with agile teams to analyze requirements and deliver comprehensive full-stack applications.
- Create data models to define the structure, relationships, and constraints within databases.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy by implementing data standards and best practices.
- Automate business processes and deliver user-friendly solutions for organizational and stakeholder use.
- Advance agile solution delivery adhering to sprint methodologies.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and technical guidance to peers at the Senior developer level.

Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- For Intermediate level: at least 3 years of experience; for Senior level: at least 8 years of experience developing solutions involving diverse datasets and integrating web services.
- Strong knowledge of database operations and proficiency with SQL.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of web infrastructure, including web servers, load balancers, HTTP protocols, caching, and session management.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS, Angular, or React, alongside frontend build tools like Webpack or Vite.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining robust APIs and backend services using C# and .NET, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Familiarity with dependency injection, inversion of control containers, containerization, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with state management libraries like Vuex or Pinia.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Less, Sass, and familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Ionic or Bulma.
- Experience with hybrid mobile web frameworks like Capacitor or Cordova is advantageous.
- Background knowledge of financial services, insurance, or retail sectors is a plus.
Compensation
Intermediate Software Developer salary ranges from $79,530 to $99,420 annually, plus a 10% Short Term Incentive Target. Senior Software Developer salary ranges from $86,280 to $115,040 annually, with a 13% Short Term Incentive Target. Placement at either level depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with role requirements.
