About the Role

This dynamic role is ideal for a designer who thrives with variety, handling everything from campaign concept creation to digital content, video, environmental graphics, and customer communications. Your strategic insight, creativity, and design skills will deliver impactful work that strengthens brands and engages customers nationwide.

This opportunity is a fixed term position based in either Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau) or Wellington (Te Whanganui-a-Tara).

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce creative assets of high standard across digital, social media, video, display, and print platforms.
  • Translate briefs into compelling creative concepts and see them through from ideation to final output.
  • Work collaboratively with designers, copywriters, and stakeholders to deliver engaging, brand-consistent work.
  • Manage several projects concurrently, meeting deadlines efficiently and independently.
  • Confidently present creative ideas, clearly explaining concepts and design decisions.
  • Maintain excellent design craftsmanship with strong attention to typography, layout, and detail.
  • Continuously develop skills, including learning new technologies like artificial intelligence tools.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional design experience in either agency or in-house settings.
  • A robust portfolio demonstrating impactful creative across both digital and print media.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • Experience designing for digital mediums, understanding audience engagement and performance metrics.
  • Capability to juggle multiple briefs and confidently advance projects from concept to final artwork.
  • Preferred skills include video editing, motion graphics, animation, or familiarity with Figma.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills when working with stakeholders.
