Role Overview

The Intelligence Analyst IV holds a senior position as a subject matter expert (SME) specializing in intelligence and financial investigations. This role involves leading intricate analytical projects in support of the FBI Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) National Coordination Center (NCC). The position delivers advanced intelligence analysis, financial intelligence assistance, criminal enterprise examination, data fusion, cryptocurrency probe capabilities, and strategic reporting to enhance Federal law enforcement and national security operations.

Key Duties

The incumbent focuses on identifying, disrupting, dismantling, and prosecuting transnational criminal groups, cartel networks, human trafficking rings, money laundering operations, foreign terrorist entities, and other major criminal threats. Applying sophisticated analytic methods and investigative techniques, the analyst integrates and scrutinizes data from diverse sources including law enforcement, intelligence, commercial, financial, and open-source information.

Responsibilities encompass producing actionable intelligence, detecting vital connections among criminal and financial networks, and creating strategic intelligence products that underpin investigations, asset recovery, and executive decision-making. The role includes mentoring junior analysts and fostering innovative approaches in intelligence exploitation, financial investigations, and predictive analytics.

Operational Support

The analyst routinely aids multi-agency probes by analyzing vast datasets, conducting complex link analysis, cryptocurrency tracing, network visualization, intelligence fusion, and strategic assessments. They operate independently within demanding investigative and intelligence contexts, providing expert analytical support to FBI, HSI, HSTF leadership, and allied agencies.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of ten years in intelligence analysis, financial investigations, criminal intelligence, law enforcement intelligence, or national security roles.
• Proven experience aiding complex, intelligence-led investigations and coordinating multi-agency operations.
• Background in developing strategic intelligence deliverables, investigative leads, and analytical strategies.
• Capability in analyzing extensive structured and unstructured data sets to meet operational and strategic goals.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in relevant fields such as Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, National Security, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Political Science, International Relations, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, National Security, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related area.
• Experience with agencies like FBI, DEA, HSI, IRS-CI, FinCEN, Treasury, Intelligence Community, military intelligence, or other Federal law enforcement bodies.
• Expertise supporting financial intelligence, money laundering, cartel investigations, cryptocurrency and blockchain probes, asset identification and forfeiture, data fusion environments, intelligence operations centers, organized crime, terrorist financing, and collaborative multi-agency intelligence projects.

Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is mandatory.
• Eligibility to obtain and sustain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) is required.
