Job Overview

The Treatment and Learning Centers (TLC) in Rockville, MD, is seeking a full-time Intake Assistant to support the Outpatient Pediatric Occupational and Speech-Language Therapy Departments. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficient daily operations of therapy services by delivering clerical, administrative, and customer support to staff, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Direct incoming calls to the appropriate departments efficiently.
Complete client intake procedures and schedule appointments.
Assist clients in filling out required forms.
Input all intake details into the patient database and regularly update client email lists.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma mandatory; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Minimum of one year’s administrative experience in a similar healthcare environment.
Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, collaborate well with team members, and demonstrate patience with a diverse client base.
Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and public relations abilities.
Polished telephone etiquette, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills, especially in MS Excel and database management.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage ranges from $20 to $27 based on qualifications and experience.
