Instructional Designer - eLearning (1099 Contract)

Position Overview

Quantic School of Business and Technology is seeking a meticulous Instructional Designer contractor to support the creation of an online Bachelor's Degree program. The role involves reviewing, refining, and formatting digital course content according to internal quality and formatting standards. Comprehensive training on Quantic’s proprietary e-learning platform will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance educational lessons within Quantic’s custom e-learning platform with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure proper formatting, functionality, instructional flow, and content accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the Instructional Design team to synchronize efforts and progress.
• Maintain detailed records tracking the development and completion of tasks.
• Participate in regular virtual meetings, approximately 1-3 times weekly.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in instructional design.
• Strong comprehension of instructional design principles and proficiency with e-learning tools such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate.
• Technically adept and quick to learn new software and platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree mandatory; official transcripts required if contracted to comply with accreditation standards.
• Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Consistent and clear communication skills, including adherence to schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in university-level curriculum design or instruction.
• Familiarity with G Suite productivity tools.

Logistics and Contract Details

• Part-time commitment ranging from 20 to 40 hours weekly, with preference for candidates available 35-40 hours.
• Initial contract duration of 2-3 months, with potential extension.
• Engagement as a 1099 independent contractor.
• Fully remote work arrangement.
• Compensation between $40 and $45 per hour, contingent on experience and qualifications.
• Contractors must have their own computer and reliable internet connection.
