Role Overview
The Information Technology Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing and supporting the organization's entire IT infrastructure, including systems, applications, and end-user technologies. This role ensures that IT services are consistently available, secure, and reliable. Additionally, the IT Administrator delivers technical assistance to staff, manages IT resources, controls system access, enforces cybersecurity protocols, and liaises with vendors to facilitate uninterrupted business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain company hardware, software, network, and IT environments.
- Continuously monitor IT system performance, availability, and security measures.
- Install, configure, and upkeep desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
- Support platforms such as Microsoft 365, email, collaboration tools, and other business applications.
- Organize and execute system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Deliver first and second-tier technical support addressing hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Manage IT helpdesk requests ensuring prompt resolution of tickets.
- Handle user lifecycle processes including onboarding and offboarding, managing system access accordingly.
- Provide users training and guidance on IT systems and best practices.
- Implement and uphold cybersecurity controls and organizational security policies.
- Monitor system access compliance and enforce information security standards.
- Administer antivirus programs, endpoint protections, and data backup solutions.
- Assist with security evaluations and vulnerability management efforts.
- Protect confidentiality, integrity, and security of company data.
- Keep detailed records of IT assets, software licenses, warranties, and inventory.
- Manage allocation, retrieval, and lifecycle stages of IT equipment.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers to maintain IT infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing and manage renewals.
- Assess and suggest technology improvements for enhanced effectiveness and security.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery protocols to safeguard critical business operations.
- Document IT policies, operational procedures, and technical guides thoroughly.
- Contribute to technology-related projects and business initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in IT administration, technical support, or systems management roles.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365, Windows OS, networking principles, and cloud technologies.
- Experience in managing hardware, software, user accounts, and IT asset inventories.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and IT industry best practices.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Well-developed organizational capabilities and documentation proficiency.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills paired with customer service orientation.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are considered advantageous.
