Key Responsibilities

• Work overnight hours as part of a night-shift laboratory role, operating independently during quieter periods while ensuring smooth and documented handoffs to the daytime team.
• Conduct mouse studies aimed at evaluating the safety and efficacy of potential new therapies.
• Administer doses to mice through various routes such as intraperitoneal (IP), intravenous (IV), subcutaneous (SC), oral (PO), and intranasal approaches, adhering to study protocols.
• Collect biological samples including blood and diverse tissues such as liver, kidney, spleen, lung, brain, muscle, heart, tumor, and other relevant organs.
• Provide assistance in surgical procedures and specialized in vivo techniques, with training provided as needed.
• Perform EEG surgeries on mice and support EEG-related studies.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience working with laboratory animals in sectors such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academia, or similar settings.
• Proficiency in handling fundamental animal husbandry tasks and dosing procedures via common routes like IP and IV.
• Attention to routine vivarium responsibilities, including cage maintenance, bedding replacement, supply management, and monitoring of animal health and welfare.
• Commitment to protocol compliance and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient vivarium environment.
• Efficient and dependable work habits with keen attention to detail, capable of making documented decisions independently during night shifts.
• Ability to smoothly coordinate with the day shift through clear and thorough handoffs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between $90,000 and $120,000, plus equity options valued roughly between $50,000 and $200,000 before accounting for exercise cost, taxes, dilution, and liquidity risk. Compensation varies based on experience, skills, and potential impact.
