Role Overview
This position is an HR Operations Manager role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is a hybrid opportunity with the option to work from home part of the time. The role requires deep, practical experience with Workday, since Plato manages its HR processes in that system and expects the person in this role to have worked across the full employee lifecycle in Workday.
What You Will Do
You will oversee key HR operations and people processes as the company expands. This includes handling onboarding, time-off and approval workflows, performance review cycles, compensation updates, and organizational reporting, all within Workday. You will also configure and maintain HR workflows, support managers and employees using Workday self-service tools, protect data quality, and produce reports that support business decisions.
In addition, you will work with leaders, product teams, and technical partners to ensure that people operations align with broader business needs, while also helping refine HR systems, internal policies, and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- Strong, practical experience managing HR operations in Workday throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Comfort using Workday self-service tools for managers and employees, including onboarding, time-off, and approvals.
- Experience managing performance review cycles, pay changes, and organizational adjustments in Workday.
- Ability to configure and maintain Workday HR workflows and related business processes.
- Hands-on experience creating and running reports in Workday.
- Background as a people manager, HR generalist, HRBP, or HR operations professional.
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Additional Information
Workday certification is considered an advantage.
