Role Purpose
This leadership position oversees core human resources functions such as recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, wellness initiatives, leave management, workers’ compensation, regulatory compliance, HRIS management, and employee relations support. The role demands a versatile, hands-on leader capable of ensuring operational continuity and aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent application of company personnel policies, including compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Manage the preparation and prompt submission of all statutory reports across applicable jurisdictions.
- Direct day-to-day HR operations to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all HR programs and systems.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise HR personnel, promoting a service-oriented, high-performance team aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, administer disciplinary measures when necessary, and advise on employee development.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge across all HR areas, providing coverage for critical functions during staff absences or increased workloads.
- Lead critical employee relations efforts, including conflict investigations and resolution, acting as a primary escalation resource for complex or sensitive matters.
- Promote cross-training, thorough documentation, and unified processes to ensure smooth service delivery and effective operational coverage.
Additional Duties
- Contribute HR expertise on management committees, cross-functional teams, and special project groups.
- Develop and deliver training programs aimed at closing performance gaps among staff and leadership.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, team effectiveness, and operational coverage.
- Undertake other assignments and projects supporting departmental and organizational success.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience. This role also qualifies for a performance-based bonus linked to specified metrics.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and compliance related to benefits, payroll, and labor laws.
- Specialized expertise in FLSA, ERISA, payroll, leave of absence programs, ADA compliance, workers’ compensation, staffing practices, and HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of business and organizational planning concepts, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and customer service excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
- At least seven years of experience in Human Resources Management preferred.
- Experience in supervising personnel and delivering employee training is required.
- Proficiency in English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential for safety and productivity.
