About the Internship
Child and Family Focus offers an internship program designed for undergraduate students seeking practical experience in human resources within a nonprofit organization of approximately 150 employees. This position provides hands-on involvement in HR operational tasks, administrative support, record maintenance, and special projects, granting valuable insight into HR functions in the human services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support HR administrative tasks and ongoing departmental projects.
- Enter data meticulously and maintain accurate employee records.
- Organize, file, and safeguard confidential personnel information.
- Assist with managing document retention systems and HR file updates.
- Create reports, spreadsheets, and various administrative documents.
- Help coordinate HR communications and employee materials.
- Conduct research to aid HR projects as required.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team.
- Carry out additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma or GED completed; currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Possession of valid child abuse clearance, criminal background check, and FBI clearance; reimbursement offered if additional clearances are needed.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be receiving course credit as part of degree requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and responsibly.
- Availability to work on Mondays and/or Tuesdays.

Compensation and Benefits
