Role Overview

The Hostess at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre acts as the initial point of contact for guests within the restaurant, ensuring a warm and efficient service that supports a premier dining experience aligned with Forbes Five-Star luxury standards. This role demands attentiveness to guest needs, fostering memorable interactions, and providing a welcoming environment throughout their visit.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables with professionalism and courtesy.
• Provide guests with menus while showcasing comprehensive knowledge about menu items, promotions, and facility amenities.
• Handle inquiries and guest requests in a timely, polite, and professional manner.
• Follow company reporting protocols and promptly communicate any operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to high standards of personal grooming, presentation, and hygiene as set by Waldorf Astoria.
• Manage telephone communications by courteously answering calls and passing messages accurately.
• Oversee restaurant reservation systems, carefully noting guest preferences, dietary restrictions, allergies, and special occasions, and communicate these to team members.
• Collaborate with the restaurant staff to guarantee fulfillment of guest preferences and special requests.
• Engage guests throughout their meal to anticipate and fulfill their needs, crafting personalized and memorable dining experiences.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of seating arrangements to optimize table allocation and guest flow within the restaurant.

Candidate Profile

• Fluency in Arabic language is required.
• Prior experience in a similar hostess role or within the Food and Beverage department is essential.
• A positive, customer-focused attitude is vital.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service at all times.
• Maintain excellent grooming and professional appearance standards.
• Display flexibility in handling various work situations.
• Capable of operating independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience handling cash transactions is preferred.
• Knowledgeable about Food Hygiene Regulations.
• Previous luxury hotel experience in Dubai and familiarity with Forbes Five-Star service standards are advantageous.
