Role Overview
IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Hostess to be the first point of contact for restaurant guests in Riyadh. In this role, you will welcome visitors with professionalism, coordinate seating, support reservations, and help ensure a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.
Guest Welcome and Service
- Receive guests in a warm, polished manner as they arrive.
- Guide guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Keep seating arrangements orderly and manage table turnover to improve service flow.
- Respond to questions about menu items, restaurant services, and general hotel information.
- Address guest concerns courteously and involve the appropriate team member when needed.
Reservations and Coordination
- Take incoming calls and manage table reservations through the assigned booking system.
- Verify reservations, note special requests, and work closely with the service team to keep operations running smoothly.
- Track waiting lists and share reliable wait-time updates with guests.
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain efficient seating and guest flow.
Operational Support
- Keep the hostess counter and entrance area tidy and well-organized.
- Prepare and refresh menus, reservation records, and seating plans as needed.
- Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene expectations.
- Assist the food and beverage team during peak business periods when support is required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Saudi nationality is mandatory for this position.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer-facing service is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication in both Arabic and English is important.
- A professional presentation and strong people skills are essential.
- The ability to manage several tasks at once while staying calm in a busy environment is needed.
- Experience with reservation tools will be considered an advantage.
