About the Role

Joining Hilton Surfers Paradise means becoming part of a team dedicated to creating outstanding guest experiences. As a Handyperson, you will support the Engineering department by performing varied general maintenance tasks that keep hotel operations running smoothly. This role involves maintaining equipment and facilities in guest rooms and common areas, ensuring every stay is comfortable and memorable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily maintenance activities in guest bedrooms and corridors to uphold high standards.
• Perform basic repairs on air conditioning units and troubleshoot in-house TV systems.
• Execute minor carpentry, furniture repairs, and plumbing fixes including taps, shower heads, and toilets.
• Maintain strict attention to health and safety by promptly reporting any issues on the floor.
• Assist with special projects or other duties as allocated by the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications and Skills

• Maintain a positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Exhibit professional grooming and the flexibility to adapt to varying work scenarios.
• Possess effective communication skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role is desirable.
