Gaming Zone Operator

About the Role

PausenPlay Gaming Lounge is seeking a proactive and energetic Gaming Zone Operator to efficiently manage day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will engage actively with customers, operate various gaming stations including PC, PS5, VR, and simulators, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable gaming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assign gaming setups such as PC, PS5, VR, or simulators.
• Initiate, monitor, and conclude gaming sessions for clients.
• Manage billing and payments via cash or digital methods like UPI.
• Inform customers about gaming fees, packages, memberships, and promotions.
• Assist customers in launching games and setting up peripherals like controllers and headsets.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting for PCs, consoles, controllers, games, and internet connectivity.
• Ensure all gaming equipment and stations are fully functional before allocation.
• Maintain an inventory of controllers, headphones, and gaming accessories to minimize damage or loss.
• Keep the gaming area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Efficiently manage customer wait times and system availability during peak periods.
• Record daily sales, expenses, and receipt of payments accurately.
• Promptly report any technical faults, equipment damages, or unusual situations.
• Enforce PausenPlay's rules with politeness and firmness when necessary.
• Foster a welcoming and lively environment on the gaming floor.
• Support the organization of tournaments, special offers, and gaming events.
• Fulfill opening and closing tasks as per shift assignments.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Basic familiarity with PC and PlayStation gaming platforms.
• Preferred knowledge of popular games such as Valorant, CS2, GTA V, EA FC/FIFA, Forza, Tekken, and Call of Duty.
• Fundamental troubleshooting skills related to Windows and gaming hardware/software.
• Good communication abilities and customer service skills.
• Responsible and trustworthy, particularly when handling cash and valuable gaming equipment.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently.
• Capability to multitask and serve multiple customers during busy intervals.
• Open to fresh graduates with a passion for gaming and eagerness to learn.

Additional Information

• Training on basic operations will be provided upon joining.
• This is a full-time, shift-based position located at PausenPlay Gaming Lounge in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
