Job description
Overview
Reporting under supervision, this role involves analyzing and investigating internal financial data and periodic financial reports to guide decision-making processes. The Financial Analyst collaborates with business partners to research and suggest ways to enhance business performance and leads finance review processes to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly analysis of financial results, trends, and metrics, and effectively communicate the key drivers impacting the profit and loss statement, including sales, AGM, customer drivers, and adjustments.
- Liaise with the Onshore team to ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Support new initiatives including business launches, system integrations, and significant change management affecting the FP&A team.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual financial plans, and long-range plans while thoroughly understanding and documenting business drivers influencing actual and projected financial performance.
- Collaborate with Onshore teams to facilitate and lead financial reviews on a quarterly and monthly basis with onsite stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Bring specialized financial expertise to support projects within the FP&A team, focusing on process improvements and standardization.
- Provide finance-related expertise and support to the team, responding promptly and accurately to queries from onshore business partners, including ad-hoc requests.
- Act as a backup resource for other members of the FP&A team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Up to 2 years of experience in financial planning, management reporting, or financial analysis, ideally within manufacturing or product environments, with strong understanding of Profit & Loss statements.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a global organization.
- Solid technical accounting skills and comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capabilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.
- Analytical mindset coupled with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Adaptable team player comfortable managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Working knowledge of SAP software.
Educational Background
CA or CMA candidates with 0-2 years experience, or MBA Finance holders with 2-4 years of experience.
