EFOR, previously known as Process Engineering Specialists (PES), is a multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in project management, validation, and automation services tailored for pharmaceutical clients across Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to oversee comprehensive accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong compliance knowledge and confidence in handling day-to-day financial activities as well as financial reporting duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records for assigned entities, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and documented appropriately.
- Oversee accounts payable operations including processing bills, posting payments, and resolving payment inquiries.
- Record client receipts accurately and manage related-party, loan, and intercompany financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly accounting schedules diligently.
- Conduct reconciliations for balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, prepare and post period-end adjustments, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Generate financial statements in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other applicable frameworks.
- Support management accounting activities by providing variance analysis and preparing management reports as needed.
- Assist with quarterly GST or VAT filings and corporate income tax submissions, collaborating with tax consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to statutory deadlines and maintain proper documentation for tax and audit purposes.
- Support statutory year-end audits, including preparation of audit schedules and addressing auditor queries.
- Continuously assess and enhance accounting systems, workflows, and processes to improve efficiency.
- Support management with ad-hoc projects and financial analyses as required.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA or CA are preferred.
- At least five years of pertinent accounting experience, ideally within multi-entity organizational structures.
- In-depth knowledge of SFRS, IFRS, IRAS requirements, and GST regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, along with strong Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate self-motivation, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Remuneration
Compensation will be determined based on candidates' qualifications, relevant experience, and skill sets.
