Role Overview
The Finance Manager cum Accountant role is a full-time, onsite position located in Dubai, UAE. This role involves preparation and review of financial statements, management of general ledger entries, and ensuring accurate, punctual month-end and year-end closings. Key daily duties include bookkeeping, account reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and assisting with budget preparation and forecasting. The role also entails maintaining and optimizing accounting software, supporting audits, and delivering financial reports adhering to relevant accounting standards. Collaboration with operations and leadership teams is essential to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions and strengthen Fastship's logistics and distribution operations throughout the region.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in finance and financial reporting to ensure compliance and on-time disclosures.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Advanced analytical capabilities to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend performance improvements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and related tools for efficient transaction management, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline; professional credentials such as CPA, ACCA, or CA are advantageous.
- Familiarity with IFRS or other recognized accounting frameworks and experience supporting audit procedures.
- Meticulous attention to detail and numerical accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving logistics environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional departments; experience within logistics, distribution, or e-commerce sectors is preferred.
