About the Role
The Bureau of Meteorology is looking for a proactive Finance Officer to join their team and deliver comprehensive financial and administrative support across various stakeholders, both internal and external.
Responsibilities
As part of the Finance Operations team, you will contribute to customer-centric services in areas including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing Card management, and Travel Finance. This role is vital in supporting continuous change and improvement within financial operations, focusing on best practices for procure-to-pay procedures, invoice generation and dispatch to customers, and the management and reconciliation of purchasing card transactions.
Requirements and Skills
The ideal candidate must be adaptable and capable of implementing change effectively. Familiarity with managing Commonwealth financial resources is key, alongside a good understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act 2013. Experience with SAP, SAP Concur, and the Microsoft Office Suite is highly valued to ensure efficient operation within the Bureau's evolving finance environment.
