Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function as we launch and scale. This role involves handling all finance operations, from invoice management to monthly management accounts, building and refining processes and controls, and maintaining tight cash flow and accurate financial data across clinic, membership, and retail revenue streams. You will closely collaborate with senior finance experts and operational teams, growing alongside our clinic network expansion.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire finance cycle including invoice processing, supplier payments, billing, bank reconciliations, petty cash, revenue and cost recognition, and expense control.
• Conduct monthly financial closures and prepare trusted management accounts and reporting packages.
• Maintain robust cash management through forecasting and working capital oversight.
• Administer UAE-specific financial requirements such as VAT filings, Corporate Tax readiness, and payroll management via WPS.
• Oversee the finance system to ensure accurate and reconcilable data between clinics, memberships, retail activities, and accounting ledgers.
• Design and implement scalable finance processes, controls, and documentation to support business growth.
• Collaborate with operational and central teams to provide clear financial insights and straightforward guidance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive hands-on experience covering the entire finance function, from transactional details to leadership-level reporting.
• Confident in managing complex transactions across multiple revenue formats including memberships, consultations, retail, and pharmacy.
• Practical knowledge of UAE finance regulations including VAT, banking, payments, payroll through WPS, and understanding of Corporate Tax.
• Familiarity with cloud accounting or ERP systems such as Xero or Zoho Books, with an appreciation for scalable, integrated financial systems.
• Ability to quickly grasp new business models and diverse costing methodologies; veterinary experience is a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated ambition to expand the finance function and team in alignment with company growth.
• Operational mindset with a bias for action, comfortable building processes from scratch without waiting for perfection.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CMA, ACA) or equivalent experience-backed credential.
• Strong personal attributes including curiosity, proactivity, adaptability, resilience, ownership of work and errors, emotional intelligence for partnership, and kindness.
• Legal eligibility to work in UAE, either currently based there or able to relocate.
• Highly desirable experience managing finance for multi-site operations or scaling businesses.
• Additional desirable experience includes veterinary/healthcare membership businesses, subscription/recurring revenue models, ERP or finance systems projects, and GCC regional finance and tax knowledge.
