About Finning Canada
Finning Canada is seeking a permanent, full-time Finance Administrator to join its Edmonton office. This role involves comprehensive financing coordination and administrative support within the Sales division, ensuring precise structuring, documentation, approvals, funding, and completion of equipment transactions in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the financing lifecycle from quotation to funding and credit release, ensuring deals comply with lender and program requirements and accurately documented in systems.
- Review and validate credit applications, AML/KYC compliance, insurance certificates, void cheques, and corporate registry paperwork, maintaining complete and audit-ready deal files.
- Coordinate funding applications with captive and third-party lenders, align with internal credit teams, monitor conditions precedent, and facilitate timely credit release authorizations.
- Oversee deal progression tracking, maintain status updates, coordinate follow-ups on pending documentation, and collaborate closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to meet execution timelines.
- Handle trade-in transactions including documentation, ownership validation, trade payoff processes, and regulatory registrations such as PPSA and corporate registries.
- Ensure strict compliance with lender requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards while maintaining audit-ready financial documentation and supporting ongoing process improvements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in finance administration, lending, or sales support, preferably within equipment finance, leasing, banking, or commercial finance sectors.
- Familiarity with financing workflows, lending systems, CRM, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Experience working in structured, process-oriented environments is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of equipment financing processes and documentation.
- Experience with PPSA, lien registration, corporate registry requirements, and insurance related to financed equipment.
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance demands associated with equipment finance.
- Knowledge of sales and deal lifecycle procedures.
