Role Overview
The National Environment Agency (NEA) invites experienced audit professionals to apply for the position of Executive Manager within its Internal Audit Division (IAD). NEA plays a central role in Singapore's environmental sustainability initiatives, and the IAD safeguards essential systems and processes that support this mission. This position offers the chance to engage in impactful audit assignments critical to Singapore’s environmental future while advancing your skills in data-driven auditing and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of financial, compliance, and sustainability audits across NEA, managing all stages from risk evaluation to monitoring implementation of recommended actions.
- Independently coordinate smaller to mid-level complex audit projects, identifying risks and control deficiencies within diverse business systems.
- Assist in managing outsourced audit services.
- Support special investigations, projects, and facilitate Audit Committee meetings.
- Utilize data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization tools to enhance audit findings, remaining informed on emerging technologies and trends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of professional accounting qualifications or a related field qualification, with a minimum of six years’ experience in internal or external auditing.
- Solid knowledge of governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
- Relevant certifications such as Chartered Accountant (Singapore) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are highly valued; experience in IT auditing or control self-assessment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and report writing capabilities to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated independent thinking and critical analysis skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
