Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Estimator to join a thriving team focused on complex industrial projects across Queensland, including significant water and wastewater infrastructure such as treatment plants, pump stations, and reservoirs. This position also presents opportunities to work on projects in power and energy, food and beverage, and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing precise and comprehensive project estimates and tender documents.
- Evaluating project risks and spotting opportunities to shape winning bidding strategies.
- Managing and analyzing pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Developing clear, competitive submissions for clients.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to business development efforts and promoting new project opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Electrical trade certification or engineering educational background.
- Background in estimating, construction, or industrial electrical sectors; water industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality cost estimates.
- Sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems and relevant safety standards.
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities alongside effective stakeholder management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software; training will be offered if needed.
- Collaborative attitude, commercial insight, and meticulous attention to detail.
