ER Specialist - Enterprise Bargaining

About the Role

CHEP, a global leader in sustainability, supply chain, and logistics, seeks an ER Specialist to lead and manage enterprise bargaining and industrial relations initiatives within its national supply chain operations. This 13-month parental leave contract based at Macquarie Park, NSW, offers flexible hybrid working options and the chance to influence outcomes impacting around 800 employees under approximately 20 enterprise agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise bargaining negotiations across various operational sites.
• Prepare relevant bargaining documents, employee notifications, and submissions to the Fair Work Commission.
• Collaborate closely with operational leadership to navigate enterprise agreement discussions and industrial relations matters.
• Provide pragmatic guidance on interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, awards, and other industrial instruments.
• Perform Better Off Overall Test (BOOT) assessments and assist with remuneration and compliance analyses.
• Handle Fair Work Commission correspondence and maintain industrial relations documentation.
• Support the rollout of new enterprise agreements and applicable business modifications.
• Contribute to developing ER resources such as toolkits, training materials, and continuous improvement strategies.

Candidate Profile

• Experienced in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, or Human Resources, preferably within manufacturing, construction, or similarly unionized sectors.
• Proficient with the Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements, and Modern Awards.
• Skilled in interpreting complex industrial instruments and delivering actionable advice to various stakeholders.
• Familiar with Fair Work Commission processes, including documentation and submissions.
• Exceptional written communication capabilities, including drafting formal correspondence and briefings.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or related disciplines are preferred.
