Job description
Overview
Element Materials Technology invites applications for the position of Environmental Technician. The primary duty of this role is to support the regional environmental field services team in conducting environmental testing and compiling reports at various project sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in all activities carried out by the environmental department, including monitoring of stack emissions, ambient air quality, soil and groundwater, as well as noise level assessments.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and apply new skills related to the aforementioned environmental monitoring areas practically.
- Support project planning and implementation efforts.
- Contribute to the preparation of environmental reports.
- Assist with the upkeep and calibration of equipment used by the environmental department.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards within the framework of a UKAS accredited ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess at least an ITE qualification such as NITEC or Higher NITEC, or a Diploma in a pertinent science or engineering field.
- Hold a valid Class 3 or 3A Singapore driving license.
- Having relevant laboratory experience is beneficial and can substitute for formal education requirements.
- Physically capable of performing sampling activities in the field.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
