Role Overview
The Engineering Coordinator serves as the key technical contact bridging customers and Davin Industries. Collaborating closely with the Sales and Technical Managers, this role translates customer requirements into precise manufacturing data, facilitating effective quoting, production scheduling, and timely delivery. The position spans the full project lifecycle from initial customer inquiries and quotations to manufacturing and final delivery, ensuring customer expectations are fulfilled while promoting efficient and cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison, fostering strong relationships and gaining a deep understanding of customer products and operational needs.
- Analyze and interpret customer 2D drawings and 3D CAD models to confirm design intent and manufacturing specifications.
- Implement Design For Manufacture (DFM) principles to guarantee components are fabricated efficiently, reliably, and economically.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and technical teams to establish suitable process methods and production timelines that support precise quotations.
- Follow safety protocols and company regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude with advanced CAD skills, specifically proficient in 3D SolidWorks.
- Experience in preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and performing technical or engineering duties.
- Well-acquainted with manufacturing settings, preferably with exposure to machining and fabrication sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
- A collaborative team player attitude.
