About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our team within a transformative HR programme designed to support significant growth and evolution. This pivotal role will contribute to shaping a dynamic people and culture function while managing complex employee relations cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver frontline support and expert guidance on HR policies and employee relations to colleagues and managers, ensuring awareness of best business practices and obligations.
- Manage employee relations cases promptly and professionally within established service level agreements.
- Maintain active engagement with managers to nurture a positive workplace environment, aligning with our mission to make Bidvest Noonan an exemplary workplace.
- Address workplace disputes appropriately, including mediation and conflict resolution techniques.
- Empower managers with training and upskilling to handle people management challenges and apply policies fairly and effectively.
- Generate regular and tailored management reports, interpreting trends and producing summaries for senior leadership review.
- Provide coaching, case reviews, and training related to HR best practices and employment law compliance.
- Establish trusted partnerships with leadership and HR teams to offer specialist employee relations advice, manage cases to resolution, and document guidance in the ER Case Management system.
- Exercise sound judgment to deliver well-assessed risk-balanced advice aligned with commercial and behavioral values.
- Collaborate with Employment Law Advisors to lead on litigation matters including WRC cases and settlement agreement negotiations.
- Advance key ER initiatives such as policy updates, wellbeing programs, and occupational health support.
- Serve as the ER authority on critical business processes including whistleblowing and client removals while identifying risk and enhancing managerial capabilities.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- Proven HR experience in a diverse, fast-paced environment at a senior level.
- Comprehensive understanding of employment legislation, including familiarity with the WRC and Employment Tribunal processes.
- Experience managing industrial relations and liaising with union representatives.
