Role Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to manage field construction, installation, testing, and commissioning tasks within industrial projects based in Saudi Arabia. This role involves direct supervision of Electrical & Instrumentation operations to ensure safety, compliance with project requirements, client specifications, quality standards, and timely completion. The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams and must possess substantial experience in brownfield industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities onsite.
- Coordinate daily execution efforts with construction, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, commissioning, and client representatives.
- Examine engineering and IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and procedures prior to project execution.
- Guarantee that all Electrical & Instrumentation installations adhere to project specs, Saudi standards, and client mandates.
- Supervise installation of LV & MV systems, cable trays and ladders, power and control cabling, instrument cables, junction boxes, field instruments, marshalling cabinets, control panels, earthing and lightning protection systems, lighting arrangements, and electrical apparatus.
- Manage testing, pre-commissioning, loop checking, energization, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure delivery according to project timelines and approved quality benchmarks.
- Monitor contractor productivity and allocation of workforce.
- Coordinate material availability with procurement and warehouse departments.
- Participate actively in daily coordination and planning meetings.
- Enforce stringent compliance with HSE standards and permit-to-work protocols.
- Provide support for shutdowns, tie-ins, and brownfield activities as required.
- Compile daily progress reports and uphold meticulous construction records.
- Manage punch list resolution and mechanical completion tasks.
- Assist with project handover and final documentation processes.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Extensive industrial construction knowledge.
- Experience with brownfield projects and shutdown operations.
- Solid understanding of Electrical & Instrumentation installation techniques.
- Familiarity with QA/QC practices and inspection protocols.
- Knowledge of industrial standards from Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, SASREF, SATORP, or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and talent for coordinating with stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude and decision-making skills.
- Dedicated to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 12 to 15 years of practical Electrical & Instrumentation construction experience.
- Proven track record across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical plants, Refineries, Power Plants, and heavy industrial EPC projects.
- Experience working with clients such as Saudi Aramco, SASREF, SABIC, SEC, Petro Rabigh, SATORP, Ma'aden, or similar entities is highly advantageous.
- Experience supervising culturally diverse construction teams.
- Knowledge of testing and commissioning activities is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites; familiarity with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
