Job description

About Havaianas

Established in 1962, Havaianas celebrates the lively and carefree essence of Brazil globally through its signature flip-flops. As a worldwide brand, it is committed to spreading happiness, comfort, and style, while expanding its reach and engagement within North America and Canada's diverse and aspirational customers.

Role Purpose

The Ecommerce Coordinator position plays a crucial foundational role within Havaianas' North America DTC team based in New York City. This role uniquely operates in a distributor model where the fulfillment and customer service responsibilities reside with distribution and fulfillment partners, while brand experience, platform management, CRM, and consumer lifecycle strategies, including loyalty programs, are managed internally. The coordinator acts as the essential link connecting Havaianas with distributors, fulfillment partners, and internal brand, planning, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily campaign execution on the Havaianas ecommerce platform, acting as a primary liaison for distributors, ecommerce fulfillment partners, product, and development teams.
  • Oversee site merchandising tasks such as product ordering, seasonal storytelling, and promotional scheduling to ensure brand marketing messages are accurately conveyed online.
  • Collaborate with the DTC Director and brand marketing team to transform campaign plans into executable site initiatives.
  • Implement SEO and Generative Search Optimization (GSO) improvements via two approaches:
    • Technical SEO: coordinate with development teams on website structure, metadata, structured data, and crawlability enhancements.
    • Content SEO: optimize on-site content to boost organic traffic.
  • Fully manage the CRM system including campaign execution, audience segmentation, lifecycle flow creation, and performance tracking.
  • Drive the loyalty program, ensuring its mechanics promote customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.
  • Partner with the DTC Director to uphold customer experience strategies in coordination with fulfillment operators on post-purchase communications and service levels.
  • Handle comprehensive DTC reporting such as site performance, CRM metrics, SEO and organic traffic patterns, escalating insights to the DTC Director.
  • Monitor channel conditions to identify risks or opportunities proactively.
  • Manage creative process workflows, acting as the main contact with creative teams, overseeing deliverables, schedules, and feedback from initiation to completion.
  • Conduct detailed first-round reviews of creative outputs, ensuring alignment with brand standards and providing clear, consolidated feedback.
  • Present finalized creative materials to brand marketing and other stakeholders, assimilate their input, and communicate it effectively back to creative teams.
  • Continuously research and share current trends, competitor insights, and cultural highlights with creative teams to ensure fresh and brand-consistent campaign concepts.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of ecommerce or digital operations experience, preferably in models supported by distributors or partners.
  • Proven proficiency in Shopify for product and theme management is mandatory.
  • Strong general ecommerce technical understanding, with capabilities to manage web development tasks and familiarity with development roadmaps preferred.
  • Experience handling CRM platforms (campaign management, segmentation, lifecycle automation) is essential; familiarity with Klaviyo and Attentive is advantageous. Experience with loyalty program management is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and GSO concepts is a plus.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills, working concurrently with brand, technology, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Detail-oriented but capable of maintaining a broad business and branding perspective.
  • Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders and maintain routine operational updates with external partners.
  • Comfortable working within ambiguous, evolving roles and structures, contributing to defining the function.
  • Proactive ownership mentality, eagerly addressing issues without needing direction.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility for brand identity—ability to recognize inconsistencies and contribute creative inspiration beyond execution.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in ecommerce within footwear, apparel, or lifestyle consumer brands.
  • Knowledge and experience with third-party logistics (3PL) or fulfillment partner coordination.
  • Exposure to branded retail or pop-up/partner store operations.

Work Arrangement

This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring presence in the New York City office three days per week.
