Role Overview

This is a full-time position based on-site in Dubai, requiring the skilled operation of drones for capturing aerial footage, conducting industrial inspections, as well as performing mapping and surveying assignments. The role demands strict adherence to local aviation rules and company-mandated safety procedures. Responsibilities encompass planning drone missions, conducting comprehensive pre- and post-flight inspections, and collaborating closely with directors, production teams, or project managers to secure required visuals and data.

Additional duties include monitoring drone and equipment performance, managing battery life and payloads, and ensuring all drones and tools are well-maintained and flight-ready. The pilot will assist in analyzing the collected imagery and data, promptly reporting technical faults, and working cohesively with the team to deliver exceptional visual outputs and operational results.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification or proven experience as a drone pilot with competency in flight planning, safe operational practices, and compliance with DCAA/GCAA or similar aviation standards.
• Proficient in aerial cinematography techniques, including camera and gimbal handling, shot composition, and coordinating with creative teams for media production contexts like film, advertising, and events.
• Experience with industrial drone applications such as inspections, mapping, and surveying, along with understanding basic data gathering and interpretation processes.
• Strong technical skills to troubleshoot drone equipment, perform routine upkeep, and manage batteries, sensors, and payloads efficiently.
• Excellent situational awareness and safety mindset to conduct risk assessment and make sound operational decisions across diverse environments.
• Effective communication abilities and teamwork aptitude to engage constructively with production crews, clients, and field personnel.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Dubai, including occasional evening or weekend shifts dictated by shoot or project schedules.
• Possession of relevant certifications or licenses authorizing drone flight within the UAE; experience related to media production and/or industrial drone inspection adds value.
