Driller

About the Role

At H&P, our workforce is our greatest asset. We are looking for a Driller to oversee safe and efficient drilling operations. The Driller’s duties include repairing drilling machinery, conducting daily reporting, enforcing well control protocols, and leading work crews on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to H&P's core values and safety principles.
• Manage the safe operation of drilling rigs, associated machinery, and crew members while ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead and train rig personnel on rigging processes, daily operations, and company standards and policies.
• Oversee rig crew activities ensuring safety and procedural compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of drilling rigs.
• Prepare and submit detailed drilling operation reports.
• Verify safety equipment functionality and proper placement.
• Supervise equipment repairs to maintain operational capability.
• Operate the rig's control panel to enhance drilling and tripping efficiency, including supervising rig floor tasks.
• Monitor and enforce correct well control procedures based on company guidelines.
• Complete required Workday trainings thoroughly and promptly.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Totco/Pason software, and IADC reporting standards.
• Proven leadership abilities with strong team collaboration skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and clear communication talents.

• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental strategies including people-based safety coaching, life-saving protocols, and hazard prevention.
• Adaptable problem-solver capable of overcoming challenges.
• In-depth knowledge and application of local and federal drilling, safety, and operational legislation including Saudi regulations.
• Experience implementing protective measures for personnel, company assets, IT infrastructure, and intellectual property security.
• Proven ability to work effectively in indigenous and culturally diverse environments.
• Minimum of 3 years of rig drilling operational experience required.

Additional Information

The Driller will collaborate closely with site management by providing regular updates, safety reports, and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory policies and standards.
