Dock Worker

Role Overview

This position involves assisting with the secure mooring and docking of vessels by correctly placing blocks according to docking plans, using forklifts and lifting tools as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support vessel docking and berthing by placing blocks based on specified docking plans, drawings, or markings, utilizing forklifts and related lifting devices.
• Adhere to all instructions, company policies, standard operating procedures, and work guidelines to ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
• Provide assistance in block setup, vessel maneuvering, various load testing activities, boat lifting and launching, and anchor chain operations.
• Contribute to cleaning and housekeeping duties after marine-related activities.
• Comply with safety, quality, and environmental protocols to maintain a secure and healthy workplace.
• Undertake additional tasks aligned with dock worker responsibilities or as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Completed secondary education level.
• Minimum of two years' relevant experience within marine-related industries.
• Proficient in English with the ability to comprehend written risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Basic understanding of lifting equipment and gear operations.
