The Simon Hotel Sydney seeks a dedicated Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchenware and kitchen areas in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Ideal for candidates with secondary school education who are prepared to undergo training.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishwashing mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• Operate dishwashers to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware efficiently.
• Arrange clean dishes properly in storage areas.
• Manually wash and sanitize dishes and other kitchen items.
• Scrub pots and pans to ensure thorough cleanliness.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage zones, appliances, and equipment.
• Handle and store cleaning agents safely and correctly.
• Collect and dispose of kitchen garbage and trash.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to uphold hygiene standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of secondary (high) school education.
• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification is required.

Additional Requirements and Conditions

• Candidates must have their own transportation.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Tasks include repetitive motions and extended periods of standing.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Capability to handle up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weights.
• Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, multitasking ability, and a positive attitude are essential.

Work Details and Benefits

• Permanent position with variable weekly hours ranging from 12 to 40.
