Role overview

Join Starbucks' roasting plant operations as a Devanner on the first shift. This role supports the movement, inspection, and handling of green coffee in a warehouse and production environment, helping maintain inventory accuracy, product quality, and food safety standards.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The schedule may change based on business needs.

What you'll do

  • Track coffee movement through the warehouse and keep inventory records accurate by using system reports, count sheets, and inventory tags.
  • Take part in inventory counts and document both the quantity and type of coffee stored on site.
  • Show up reliably and on time for all scheduled shifts.
  • Carry out assigned sanitation duties to meet quality, health, and safety requirements.
  • Help maintain premium coffee quality by inspecting product, collecting composite samples, and removing lower-quality beans by hand when needed.
  • Unload incoming green coffee with a small team, verify shipment details against shipping paperwork and containers, and confirm product information.
  • Follow established procedures to identify coffee types and daily quantities needed to support production demand.
  • Send coffee to a third-party processor for decaffeination and return any rejected coffee to the supplier.
  • Help manage or carry out food safety, legal compliance, and quality programs.

What this role is looking for

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • Comfort with lifting up to 150 pounds frequently and safely.
