Role Summary
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to join our team full-time, working on-site in Unterschleissheim. This role entails providing daily technical assistance for desktop systems, laptops, peripheral devices, and printers. Responsibilities encompass installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues. You will handle support tickets, provide direct assistance to users both in-person and remotely via phone or email, and escalate complex challenges appropriately. Accurate documentation of issues and solutions is essential, alongside collaboration with IT teams and adherence to company security standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to manage desktop computers and peripherals, including installation, configuration, and basic upkeep.
- Experience offering technical support in corporate end-user environments, particularly desktop assistance.
- Familiarity with printer setup, connectivity, and routine problem-solving.
- Competence in addressing hardware and software problems using systematic troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of Windows or similar operating systems, common office software, and fundamental networking concepts.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to support users with diverse technical knowledge.
- Capability to work on-site effectively, manage multiple tasks, and maintain thorough support documentation.
- Relevant vocational training, degree, or equivalent practical experience in IT, computer science, or related disciplines. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft are beneficial.
